LOAN WATCH

17 October 2016

Taking a look at the Iron players currently on loan away from Glanford Park…

In the first Loan Watch of the season, we round-up the fortunes of the likes of Scott Laird and Jack King in their time away from the club so far, as well as checking in on the progress of youngsters Jack Dyche and Noel Burdett.

United’s 4-1 victory over Walsall has been the only game full-back Laird has missed in his short spell at the Saddlers so far, where he’s played seven times and scored once since his deadline day move.

King has also been an integral part of the Stevenage side he joined towards the end of the window. The 31-year-old has made nine appearances for the Boro and, like Laird, has chipped in with a goal of his own, in a 2-1 win over Crawley Town.

Another man plying his trade in League Two is Dominic Vose, who’s found the net on two occasions in his 13 games since moving to Grimsby Town in August.

Moving to a side which too is close to home in North Ferriby, Kyle Wootton is still waiting for his first goal, after making three appearances for the National League side.

It’s a story of mixed emotions for Jack Dyche, who has so far scored three times in his loan spell at Ashton United, but unfortunately the 19-year-old has sustained an ankle injury which will mean a spell on the sidelines.

Fellow youth graduate Noel Burdett has also enjoyed a rich run of goalscoring form in his time at Frickley Athletic, which included a hat-trick in an 8-0 cup victory over Denaby Main JFC.
