Darren Handley will referee the Iron’s home clash with Northampton Town on Saturday.

Handley has already officiated 11 matches so far this season, and in those games, he’s produced 38 yellow cards and dismissed one player.

Throughout the 2015-16 season, the man from Lancashire took charge of 32 games, cautioning 112 players, and sending off five.

The previous campaign was the most recent time Handley officiated a Scunthorpe match, when they defeated Colchester United 3-0 at Glanford Park in January.

He’ll be joined on Saturday by assistant referees David Benton and Simon Clayton, with Stephen Wade taking up the role of fourth official.
