Darren Deadman will referee the Iron’s Checkatrade Trophy clash with Cambridge United at the Cambs Glass Stadium on Tuesday night.

Deadman has already refereed 16 matches so far this season and, in those games, he’s produced 65 yellow cards and dismissed two players.

He’s already officiated one United match in the current campaign, as the Iron drew 2-2 with Sheffield United at Glanford Park back in September.

Throughout the 2015-16 campaign, the official took charge of 36 games, cautioning 101 players and sending off three.

He’ll be joined on Tuesday by assistant referees Andrew Aylott and Christopher Ward, with Ian Smedley taking up the role of fourth official.
