Iron defender David Mirfin has added to his collection of awards after scooping the Irish Iron Player of the Year award for 2015/16.
After collecting seven accolades at the club's end of season awards dinner following Sunday's 2-0 victory over Sheffield United at Bramall Lane, the 31-year-old was announced by the Irish group of supporters as their player of the campaign, as voted for by their members.He fended off competition from Paddy Madden and Murray Wallace, who came second and third respectively.
