Iron defender Jordan Clarke says it was disappointing not to take all three points from the game with Gillingham.

However, at the same time he stated it was pleasing to dominate the League One high-flyers throughout.

United drew 0-0 with Justin Edinburgh's side at Glanford Park and Clarke believes there are plenty of positives to take from the performance.

He told The Iron PlayerHD: "To be honest I think we dominated the whole game really. We limited them in chances and we created a lot, which we should have taken.

"Overall I think the least we could do is get a point, and I think that was the least we deserved. However, we definitely deserved the three points so we are disappointed, but we can take the positives from the game.

"Today it was another high-flying side and I think we've dominated them from start to finish. Obviously we would have liked to get the three points, but that's football and we can again on Tuesday."

The stalemate is the second successive goalless draw for the Iron. However, Clarke doesn’t feel it's anything to read too much into.

"We are creating the chances and we are solid at the back as well. So as long as we're not conceding, the only thing we can do is go and score," he said.

"Obviously the past two matches have been tough. Walsall are right up there and we produced a good defensive display and we did have chances as well."

United are back at Glanford Park on Tuesday, when they face Doncaster Rovers. It is a game which the full-back feels the hosts can go into full of confidence.

"It's similar to Fleetwood, because you can never underestimate anyone in this league," he said.

"Doncaster is a local derby, so it's going to be a different type of pressure.

"We just need to keep up the momentum we've got and then take our chances."
