Iron manager Nick Daws has declared that the condition of his side is in a similar position to prior to the goalless draw with Gillingham on Saturday.
He confirmed that midfielder Luke Williams and attacker Greg Luer are likely to miss out once more – although the United boss did confirm that Hakeeb Adelakun and Sean McAllister both returned to training on Monday in preparation for the game on Tuesday evening.
“There aren’t any changes really,” he stated, speaking to The Iron PlayerHD.
“Luke’s (Williams) unlikely to be involved and it has probably come a day too early for him. He’s going to be back in training on Tuesday, but not in terms of contact. It was a minor blip that set him back three or four days.
“He remains a doubt tomorrow, as does Greg Luer. He will be having his stitches out on Tuesday and it’s looking like he won’t be available for the Doncaster game.
DOUBTFUL: Luke Williams and Greg Luer are unlikely to be fit in time to face Doncaster.
“Other than that, we have a clean bill of health for the game. Some of the boys have recovered from Saturday more than others, which is always standard.
“Sean McAllister also returned to training on Monday.”
The Iron have a double header with the development side going up against Chesterfield at the Proact Stadium just hours before the first team take on Rovers.
“The situation tests clubs at our level all the time,” he continued.
“It’ll pretty much be the youth team with a couple of the younger professionals involved in that. We wish them well in the 2pm kick-off at their stadium and it’s great for them to play in that environment.”
