Iron striker Tom Hopper stated the victory over Doncaster Rovers will only breed more confidence into the United squad.
Hopper was part of an Iron side which defeated Rovers 2-0 at Glanford Park and he feels the display was one the home faithful would have been more than pleased with.
He told The Iron PlayerHD: "Everyone's delighted. It was a great performance from start to finish and we set the tempo early on. We knew they'd be in a fragile state of mind and I think we capitalised on that early on.
"It keeps the momentum going and we probably should have picked up one or two victories in the last couple of games. But we won't be disheartened by that at all, because we're a confident bunch.
"We've been on a great run, we're doing really well and playing some good stuff, with a lot of attacking football. Which hopefully the fans are enjoying."
GOAL: Tom Hopper runs away in celebration after putting the Iron ahead against Doncaster Rovers.
The forward got the scoring underway after five minutes, tucking away Conor Townsend's near post cross with consummate ease. However, Hopper highlighted the importance of building on his strike.
"I've said many times that I need to get amongst the goals more and I'd like to keep doing that," he said.
"The goals bring me a lot of confidence, as well as the rest of my game. As a team we're playing really well, we're creating a lot of chances, so it's a great team to play in at the moment."
After taking three points against Darren Ferguson's side, the Iron now sit five points off the League One play-off places, but the 22-year-old insisted things have to be taken one game at a time.
He added: "Tonight was a big game, with it being the game in hand. But we won't get carried away, we know every game is a tough game in this league.
"So if we can keep our heads down, keep working hard on the training pitch, keep the performances where we want them to be, we'll get the results and we'll see where it takes us."
