Enjoying his first experience of the Iron at Glanford Park was Ciaran Parkes.
The nine-year-old arrived at the stadium prior to the game and was able to meet the players ahead of the goalless draw with Gillingham, going behind the scenes and into the changing room.Ciaran declared his favourite player as Paddy Madden at the time and also enjoyed the performance of Stephen Dawson before stating his second favourite player as Tom Hopper a day later.
Coming to the game with brother Corey, their mum Davinia said: "I cannot thank you enough for today! Ciaran is buzzing. You have made a little boy's year in his first ever game!!! Thank you.
"Corey isn't going to be able to go to a game without him now. He loved it."
Ciaran is just one of the many junior Iron fans to have enjoyed a pre-match experience with the club; many of whom have gone on to regularly support Scunthorpe United since.
We look forward to welcoming Ciaran back to Glanford Park in the near future and for many years to come.
