Iron defender Andrew Boyce has joined Sky Bet League Two side Notts County on loan until the end of the season.

The central defender, who joined the club from Lincoln City in January 2014, has made just one appearance for the club this season – in a 2-1 victory over Southend United in the FA Cup in November.

That came following a three-month loan spell at League Two side Hartlepool United, in which he made nine appearances. He’s also had two separate loan spells with Grimsby Town in 2013-14 and 2014-15, making a total of 21 appearances.

In total for the Iron, Boyce has made 37 appearances, scoring one goal.

Boyce joins up with Jamie Fullarton’s side ahead of their long trip to Yeovil Town on Saturday.
