VAN VEEN WINS GOAL OF THE SEASON VOTE

Striker Kevin van Veen's strike in the 4-2 away win at Oldham Athletic has been voted by Iron fans as their goal of the season.

The Dutch forward took the ball from the halfway line and beat three men before chipping the ball over the Latics goalkeeper.

We asked fans to vote for their goal of the season via email and van Veen's goal at SportsDirect.com Park was the clear winner.

The vote was whittled down over the course of the season, through our Goal of the Month voting process.
