During last season, Scott Laird answered questions sent in by fans for our matchday programme...
Elissa Mullin, via Facebook, asks: Do you feel you have settled in well at Scunthorpe United?SL: "Everyone's been really good, the staff, the players and the people in and around Scunthorpe have been great. So it's been a nice start and hopefully it can carry on."
Lewis Hughes, via Facebook, asks: Is the banter at Scunthorpe United any good? If so who has the best?
SL: "There are some funny lads in there - Jack King's a laugh. Paddy Madden and Stephen Dawson are funny lads too. I've got to give a special mention to Charlie Goode, he likes to get involved, but fair play to him, good or bad he gets stuck in."
Alison Kiddle, via Twitter, asks: Who's the best player you've ever played with and against?
SL: "I would have to say the best player I've played with is Joe Garner. Simply because he doesn't give defenders a minute's peace. With regards to the best I've faced, I've got to say Guti. We played Real Madrid in a pre-season friendly and he was unbelievable."
Lairdy_10, via Instagram, asks: Would you rather be a duck-sized horse or a horse-sized duck?
SL: "It's a tough one, but I'd rather be a duck-sized horse. But that is a difficult one to answer though."
Earl Priestley, via Facebook, asks: What's your favourite colour?
SL: "Blue. Simply because of Glasgow Rangers."
Callum Laird, via Twitter, asks: Who would win in a fight between a lion and a shark?
SL: "Depends where the fight is, whether it's on water or on land."
Scott Roberts, via email, asks: What is your favourite holiday destination and why?
SL: "It used to be Dubai, but I went to New York last year with my wife and it was unbelievable."
James Whittaker, via email, asks: What's your favourite dish to eat?
SL: "There's so many. I love food. Probably my wife's mum's chicken curry."
