The Iron can confirm their pre-season schedule for 2016, which will include a week-long training camp in Austria.

The players will return to begin their training ahead of the new campaign on Tuesday, June 28th.

They will be based in Obertraun, Austria between Saturday, July 9th and Saturday, July 16th, and will play their first friendly en route, away at Stamford AFC on Friday, July 8th.

While on the training camp in Austria, Graham Alexander’s men will play two behind-closed-doors friendlies, one on Tuesday, July 12th against an opponent yet to be confirmed, while the Iron will face FC Liefering on Friday, July 15th at Academy Red Bull Salzburg, kicking off at 6.30pm local time (5.30pm GMT+1).

Once back in North Lincolnshire, the players will continue their preparations and there will be an open training session for all on Friday, July 22nd. This day will include the 12th Man Photo as well as Open Day activities, and a player signing session. Full details of this will be announced in due course.

On Saturday, July 23rd we will take on Premier League newcomers Hull City at Glanford Park, before facing Championship outfit Rotherham United at home on Tuesday, July 26th.
