The Iron's U18 side drew 2-2 at Brigg Town in their first game of pre-season on Saturday lunchtime.
Kyle Porter opened the scoring with a long shot from the edge of the 18-yard box, before George Hornshaw added a second by firing across the goalkeeper when one against one.Brigg pulled a goal back before half-time, and United made numerous changes at the break to utilise the whole squad and give them playing time.
The hosts managed to find an equaliser but academy manager Tony Daws was pleased with the work-out.
