IT'S DIFFERENT CLASS

10 July 2016

Iron assistant manager Chris Lucketti says the players are relishing getting to grips with the challenges of their Austrian pre-season training camp.

Based in Obertraun, the players went cycling when they arrived on Saturday following their long journey there, before stepping up the training early on Sunday morning.

"It's different class, this is the best place I've ever trained at in a pre-season. The lads are saying the facilities are unbelievable," said Lucketti, who joined the club less than a fortnight ago.

"Since we arrived, the lads have been for runs through the forest, acclimatising to where we are. It's an unbelievable training camp where you can work really hard and bed down some principles over the coming season with the team.

"On Sunday, we were up at 6.45am and took the lads for a two mile run through the forest, and then had breakfast before our first training session at 10.30am.

"We then had lunch and were back out at 4.30pm and we're getting some real quality work into the lads.

"There are plenty of mountains around here and the scenery is very different to the UK, and at the moment we have fantastic weather.”
