The destination has been reached...
So in total, barring an overnight stop in Luxembourg, that's a total of 1,100 miles travelled, and still we were beaten here by the players.
They took an early flight from Stanstead airport to Linz where they continued their journey via coach to Obertraun, arriving at the destination in the early afternoon.
As for the contingent making the trip via van, Nathan Stanton and myself arrived in the early evening after a hectic experience while driving through Germany which included a driver abandoning their car in the middle of a three lane motorway to add at least an hour to the journey.
When setting off on Saturday morning, just slightly earlier than 8AM local time (7AM UK time), the expected time of arrival was a little after 3PM, but that soon changed with various hold-ups.
The Allianz Arena in Munich was earmarked as the half way point on the trip and this still proved to be the case, despite a 6-hour stint for Nathan in the morning due to the various hold-ups.
I took the wheel at the home of Bayern Munich and negotiated us to the destination just ahead of the 7PM evening meal schedule - over three hours later than originally planned.
During transit, we soon discovered the players and coaching staff had long beaten us to our destination of Obertraun and had already familiarised themselves with the location with a team bike riding exercise, amongst other things.

05:15AM (UK Time) - Players check into Stanstead airport ahead of their flight.
08:00AM (7:00AM UK Time) - Nathan Stanton and the media team depart Luxembourg and head for Austria.
07:15AM (UK Time) - Players depart Stanstead airport for Linz
10:30AM (9:15AM UK Time) - Players arrive in Linz ahead of their coach journey to Obertraun.
15:30PM - The players arrive in Obertraun and head out on a bike ride to discover their surroundings.

18:30PM - Nathan Stanton and the media team finally arrive after three hours of delays on the road.
19:00PM - The evening meal is served.
22:00PM - Gute Nacht aus Osterreich (Good night from Austria) as the players prepare for their first day on Sunday.
