WALLACE SIGNS FROM HUDDERSFIELD

2 January 2016

The Iron have completed the signing of Huddersfield Town defender Murray Wallace for an undisclosed fee.

Wallace signs on a three-and-a-half-year contract, after spending time on loan at Glanford Park earlier on in the campaign.

During his loan spell at the Iron, the Scot made 12 league appearances, and scored his only goal for the club in a 2-1 away defeat to Rochdale.

The Glasgow-born defender began his youth career with Rangers and Falkirk before he signed professional with the latter in 2011, subsequently making 24 appearances and scoring two goals before his move across the border to Huddersfield in January 2012 for £300,000.

He was immediately loaned back to the Scottish Division One side until the end of the season, making a further 17 appearances.
