READY TO GO AGAIN AFTER A GREAT WEEK

15 January 2016

Iron manager Mark Robins says the build up and everything which came around the FA Cup clash with Chelsea was great for the club.

He hopes a lot of the positivity can be taken into this weekend's trip to Blackpool.

Robins highlighted the test United will face at Bloomfield Road will be drastically different to one which they took on at Stamford Bridge, and stated it's vital everyone is ready for what awaits.

"It was a great week. All the preparation for the game, all the press interest, all the media interest," he told The Iron PlayerHD.

"We've got to take what we felt last week, into the preparation and the game for this Saturday."

Despite the defeat against the Premier League champions, Robins feels there was a lot to be pleased about in terms of performance.

He said: "We can take an awful lot of positives from the game on Sunday, and run with it for the rest of the season.

"We were good in spells, in the second half especially. I think defensively we were really solid, and there was only one occasion where we switched off, and Loftus-Cheek got the second goal.

"Mostly, we were good. We were in the game, we created opportunities for ourselves, and the only disappointment, aside from the fact we got knocked out the FA Cup, was we didn't score at the times in which we created our chances."

Prior to the visit to Bloomfield Road, Robins revealed how crucial it is to get expectations back to where they should be.

"It's going to be different," he said.

"We need to be ready for what's about to happen, and the environment we're going to play in."
