James Linington will be the referee for the Iron's away clash with Coventry at the Ricoh Arena this Saturday.

Linington has already refereed one United match in the current campaign, when ourselves and Leyton Orient played out a goal-less draw in the second round of the FA Cup.

Last season, Linington produced 107 yellow and 10 red cards in his 38 games - in a season where he took charge of United's 2-1 away success at Barnsley.

So far this campaign, the Newport official has cautioned 69 players and dismissed three in his 24 games.

He'll be assisted on Saturday by assistant referees Andrew Newbold and Nigel Smith, with Wayne Barratt taking up the role of fourth official.
