Iron defender Niall Canavan has joined fellow League One side Rochdale on an emergency loan.
The 24-year-old joins the Spotland side ahead of their home game against Crewe Alexandra on Tuesday night.He has made 173 appearances in all competitions for United, scoring 15 times after coming up through our youth academy.
The form of David Mirfin and Murray Wallace means Canavan, who has made 12 appearances so far this term, has seen first team opportunities limited in the last month though.
