REFEREE: JOYCE HANDED EFL CUP ROUND TWO CLASH

23 August 2016

Ross Joyce will take charge of United’s EFL Cup second round clash with Bristol City at Glanford Park.

Joyce refereed the Iron on one occasion in the 2015/2016 season, officiating the 2-1 away loss to Fleetwood Town in February.

In the 29 games the man from Cleveland took charge of throughout last season, he produced 106 yellow and 6 red cards.

This will be the first time Joyce has been involved in a match involving the Robins, having never refereed them before.

He’ll be assisted on Tuesday night by linesmen Christopher Husband and Matthew Jones, with Tom Nield taking up the position of fourth official.
