The Iron have signed Lincoln City striker Jonathon Margetts for an undisclosed fee.

The 22-year-old pens a two-year deal with the club and becomes our third addition of transfer deadline day, joining loan acquisitions Harry Toffolo (from Norwich) and Richie Smallwood (from Rotherham).

Margetts had scored five goals in five National League games for the Imps, since joining earlier in the summer.

He began his career as a trainee at Hull City, and enjoyed loan spells with Gainsborough, Harrogate and Cambridge before moving to Tranmere.

He enjoyed separate loan stays at Stockport, Altrincham and Southport last season before joining Lincoln after a successful trial.

Margetts has been handed the No 21 shirt.
