The Iron are looking to recruit an Apprentice to work within their established grounds team based at the Glanford Park stadium.
Reporting to the Head Groundsman, you will work on all aspects of the football stadium pitch, training ground and academy. Some of your responsibilities could include tractor driving, mowing of all grass areas and operating the irrigation system. You will also be required to assist with the preparations for match day operations.You will be helping to maintain and prepare the playing surface to an excellent standard to ensure that games/training can go ahead on schedule and will maintain the surrounding areas of the stadium and training pitches to the same high standard.
Candidates must be able work within a small team, be hardworking, willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions, have a keen interest in Groundsmanship.
You will be expected to develop working relationship with all Departments and understand their roles.

Training will be provided in the workplace where you will work towards an Intermediate Apprenticeship in Sportsturf.
