The Iron will be looking to continue their winning start to the new campaign, when they take on Notts County in the EFL Cup first round at Glanford Park (7.45pm kick-off).
Graham Alexander’s side come into the match fresh from the 3-1 victory over Bristol Rovers on the opening day of the new season.County however will be seeking a response to their setback away at Yeovil Town, where they slipped to a 2-0 defeat.
Iron boss Graham Alexander has confirmed the game comes too soon for Paddy Madden (calf) but Sam Mantom could well feature in the squad after a full week's training.

The two sides served up an entertaining encounter the last time they met, with United snatching a point late on at Meadow Lane in a 2-2 draw in March 2015.
Theo Robinson had put the visitors ahead after a minute, but goals from Gary Jones and Balint Bajner either side of half time turned things around.
The Iron weren’t finished though and Niall Canavan’s header, four minutes from time, earned Scunthorpe a point.

Notts County secured the services of Jonathan Forte from League One side Oldham Athletic for an undisclosed fee in the summer, reuniting with former boss John Sheridan.
Forte has been on loan at the Magpies on three separate occasions, with the Barbadian scoring 13 goals in 28 games during his time at Meadow Lane. The Sheffield-born striker has plenty of Football League experience, having played for nine different professional clubs.
He has spent time on loan at multiple clubs, but his time at Doncaster was arguably his most successful. He helped Rovers win the Football League Trophy, scoring after just 43 seconds at the Millennium Stadium.
He notched 18 goals in 60 games for Oldham, the most he has achieved for any club.
He is no stranger to Scunthorpe fans, having played nearly 100 times for the Iron. Forte was part of the 2008-09 League One play-off winning squad.
