Iron manager Graham Alexander has been providing his reaction to the loan signing of Norwich City's Harry Toffolo. The 21-year-old joined on Wednesday morning and his loan spell runs until January.
Alexander believes he's a player who can bring even more ability to the squad already present.
"He adds quality and has a lot of league experience from his loan periods elsewhere," explained the boss.
"I first came across him in his time on loan at Swindon where I thought he was a superb player for them.
"He was a massive part of their success in 2014-15, when they reached the play-off final, and nearly helped them to promotion.
"When my teams played against him, he was always a threat from left wing-back.
"He's versatile and can play anywhere down the left hand side.
"He's a young player with great motivation, great energy and real quality.
"He's found his opportunities at Norwich limited because there is a high quality squad there and he is desperate to play football.
"There were quite a few other clubs interested in Harry as well but he's seen what we're trying to do here, and the strength of the squad we have.
"He feels he can come in and help us win a lot more games.
"We're excited to have him on board. He played last night for Norwich at Peterborough and set two or three goals up so we know what we're getting."
