On-loan midfielder Jim O'Brien has been ruled out for the rest of the season after undergoing an operation to rectify a groin injury.
On loan from Coventry, the 28-year-old was substituted at half-time after getting injured during the Easter Friday game at Barnsley. He had made nine appearances for United, scoring on his debut away at Millwall in February.
Iron boss Graham Alexander said: "He's going to be out for the rest of the season. It is really unfortunate for Jim first and foremost and also for ourselves because we're losing a good player for the final six games."
We thank Jim for his efforts while with United and wish him well for the future.
