IRON ANNOUNCE JD SPORTS PARTNERSHIP

11 April 2016

Scunthorpe United Football Club can announce a three-year partnership with kit manufacturer JD Sports commencing from June 1, 2016.

In readiness for our move to a new stadium, the deal will see the Iron bring the club shop back in-house, effective from the above date.

We would like to consult with our fans about what they feel is important and what official merchandise is on offer in the shop, and you can have your say in our survey by clicking here.

Exclusive to JD Sports, Carbrini Sportswear will be the brand seen among Scunthorpe replica kits and other merchandise from the start of the 2016-17 season.

Chief Executive Officer James Rodwell said: "Following on from our recent decision to bring our club shop back ‘in-house’ from June of this year, I am delighted to announce that JD Sports will be our kit manufacturer for the next three seasons.

"As a club we are continually looking for partnerships which will give us the best chance of being a success both on and off the pitch, and our relationship with world-renowned sports brand JD Sports can only help us achieve our aims.

"During the tender process, JD Sports continually demonstrated their determination to work with SUFC, and to meet the requirements of the club moving forwards, and I look forward to working closely with them over the next three years."

Andy Ronnie, JD Director of Football said: “We are delighted to have secured a partnership with Scunthorpe United for the next three seasons; it’s a club with a long history and heritage, with passionate fans.

“We have worked closely with the club to create bespoke designs of the new 2016-17 home and away kits in the Carbrini brand, which will be launched ahead of the 2016-17 season. We’re looking forward to the players’ and fans’ reactions once revealed.

“We are excited to have this opportunity to work together with Scunthorpe United, in what we hope will be a successful period for the club.”

The new direction sees the club end their seven-year association with Just Sport Group, and the Iron would like to thank them for their commitments to the club over that period.

James Rodwell added: "I would like to thank Just Sport for their hard work and dedication during our time working together, and wish them every success in the future."
