They travel to a Crewe side that is left playing for pride after their relegation was confirmed last weekend.
Crewe find themselves bottom of the league having struggled all season, with defeat at Port Vale meaning they will play in League Two next season.
A win would keep the Iron's faint play-off hopes alive, and Graham Alexander will hope to see his side finish the season off strongly.
The Iron have no new injury concerns ahead of the trip to Crewe, meaning they are only without their long-term absentees.
Luke Daniels missed the previous match against Burton, but is back in training and could make the squad for the game.
Scott Wiseman is out after surgery ended his season, while Jim O'Brien also had an operation on a groin injury.
Sean McAllister is back jogging following an ankle injury and Graham Alexander hopes to see him back in contention in a couple of weeks.
Crewe central midfielder David Fox is someone who offers plenty of experience to a side that is relatively young.
The summer signing has played at the top level for Norwich City and joined the Alex from League One rivals Colchester.
The 31-year-old started his career at Manchester United, but failed to make a single appearance before moving to Blackpool.
He played for the Lancashire side for four seasons, helping them into the Championship before moving to Colchester.
An impressive season in Essex saw him follow his former manager Paul Lambert to Norwich, where he was instrumental in their promotion to the top flight.
Despite being a fan favourite, Fox found himself out of favour under Chris Hughton in 2013 and returned to Colchester.
After another successful stint in Essex, Fox decided to return to the North West to be closer to his family, which saw him join Crewe.
Two goals in quick succession condemned the Iron to a 2-0 defeat on their visit to Crewe last season.
A goalless first half was separated by a quick fire double from the hosts straight after the break.
Greg Leigh gave them a 54th minute lead, before Marcus Haber doubled their advantage just a minute later to seal the match.
The Iron pushed for a response, but were unable to find a way through as the hosts claimed a vital win in their bid for survival.
