WE'VE GOT TO GO AND DO IT

29 September 2015

Iron midfielder Gary McSheffrey is looking forward to the quick opportunity to bounce back when we face Walsall at Glanford Park on Tuesday night.

United lost 2-1 at Southend on Tuesday and McSheffrey highlighted the fact that it was once more a few individual errors which have cost them the game again.

"It's disappointing again to get a defeat. I think we started the game well and got into a good position," he told The Iron PlayerHD.

"We were unlucky not to go two up. Paddy Madden's hit the post and then a few basic errors has cost us the game again.

"The game was there for the taking, in the opening quarter I felt we were in cruise control a little bit. They’re the times of games where you have to get at them and go two or three goals up."

He added: "They're the errors that we need to nip in the bud, because it's costing us points.

"If we can nip that in the bud, we've seen that we score goals wherever we go and at home, we can turn those defeats into draws or wins.

"We know we're capable of it, we know what we've done wrong. But it's no good talking about it, we've got to go and do it."
