Second-year apprentice Jack Dyche was the recipient of two awards, presented prior to kick-off when we faced Coventry City on Saturday.
The attack-minded player has already had a successful start to this season, having scored the winning penalty to send the Iron through to the final of the Lincolnshire Senior Cup just hours after he netted in a pre-season friendly against Notts County. In the youth team, he found the net as recently as the weekend as he grabbed a 76th-minute leveller against Mansfield Town.
The awards, however, were in recognition for his efforts last season with Dyche selected in the League Football Education's Best Eleven for 2014/15 - an award decided in June after the season finished. He also picked up an accolade for Goal of the Month for March 2015 after he received 40.6% of the vote to see off competition from a range of top-quality goals including one directly from kick-off.
We would like to congratulate Jack on his efforts last season, along with his good start to the season.
