United youngster Isaac Assenso has joined Scarborough Athletic on a one-month loan.
Signed on a one-year deal after his release from Leeds United and a successful trial at the back end of last season, the defender/midfielder has found first team chances hard to come by with the Iron. He has been restricted to development team action, playing in both of the second string's games so far.He goes straight into the squad for Tuesday night’s away match at Clitheroe in the Northern Premier League Division One North and will also be eligible to feature in the FA Trophy for them.
The Seadogs, however, have already been eliminated from the FA Cup, so Assenso still remains available for the Scunthorpe.
He won’t be eligible for the Iron’s development games during the loan period.
