Scunthorpe United Football Club’s academy is looking to recruit scouts to work at the U8 to U16 age groups.
We are seeking to recruit people who have a knowledgeable understanding of the game.Scunthorpe United Football Club’s academy is looking to recruit self-motivated, committed, confident and knowledgeable individuals to join the academy team in the position of local scout.
The role of local scout is fundamental to the long-term vision of Scunthorpe United Football Club in identifying and recruiting the most talented young players for the club.
The elite scout will work within the identification, recruitment and scouting strategies that are specific to the development phases of the player performance pathway.
Focusing specifically on the identification and recruitment of players aged 7-16, the scout will work closely with the head of academy recruitment to align targets with club succession plans.
Particular focus will be placed on non-academy players in this age range.
Applicants will need to demonstrate a wide knowledge of players in non-academy local football..
We are primarily looking to recruit people who live in and around the Scunthorpe area but would be pleased to receive applications from the following towns and cities which fall within our catchment area as designated by the Football League’s travelling time rules – Hull, Doncaster, Rotherham, Sheffield, Lincoln and Grimsby.
This is a paid part time role.
