Scunthorpe United Football Club is looking to recruit self-motivated, committed, confident and knowledgeable individuals to join the academy team in the position of elite scout.
The role of elite scout is fundamental to the long-term vision of Scunthorpe United Football Club in identifying and recruiting the most talented young players for the club.
The elite scout will work within the identification, recruitment and scouting strategies that are specific to the development phases of the player performance pathway.
Focusing specifically on the identification and recruitment of players aged 8-16, the elite scout will work closely with the head of academy recruitment to align targets with club succession plans.
Particular focus will be placed on non-academy players in this age range.
Applicants will need to demonstrate a wide knowledge of players both in academy and non-academy football, along with experience of working as part of a recruitment department at academy level.
The role of elite scout will further enhance the academy structure in retention of Category Three status in line with the Elite Player Performance Plan.
This is a paid part time role.
