Every player in the Iron's academy from U9-U16 level gathered at Glanford Park for a photo shoot on Friday night.
The board of directors have sanctioned a big investment in the Iron’s academy as we look to give the stars of the future the best possible chance of developing.The kit for the academy hadn’t been changed for several years, but we’re seeking to give the players a sense of pride and identity as we look to take the football club forward, and we will be seeking Category 2 status to coincide with our move to the brand new stadium.
We are proud to present all the players in the photo above. A large number of individual photos were taken too of each player and of each team in their brand new kits.

As we embark on one of the most exciting periods in Scunthorpe United's history with a new stadium on the way, including state of the art facilities accessible to the academy, we are delighted to be providing brand new playing kits for the 2015/16 season to all junior academy teams that mirror the first team.
This has provided a great opportunity for businesses to show their support for developing local talent by sponsoring the different age group kits for a two year period.

The money raised from the sponsorship will be ring fenced to go directly back into the Academy for the playing kit, training equipment and coaching to further enhance the development of local talent.
