WE'RE IN CONFIDENT MOOD

30 October 2015

United goalkeeper Luke Daniels felt the three points picked up at Chesterfield were no less than the Iron deserved.

Daniels praised the display at the Proact Stadium, as the Iron ran out comfortable 3-0 winners.

"I thought we played really well on Saturday, we were good value for the three points," he told The Iron PlayerHD.

United will be facing Barnsley for the third time this season when the two sides meet on Saturday, and Daniels stated the previous encounters will stand them in good stead.

He also highlighted the fact that the Iron will have to be on their guard, in spite of the Tykes' poor form of late.

"It'll be another tough game, I know they're not in great form, but they're a team that have obviously beaten us twice so we know we'll be in for a tough afternoon," he said.

The shotstopper says it was pleasing to bounce back from the defeat at Gillingham in the manner that they did against the Spireites.

It was a response which Daniels states was needed, especially after suffering such a cruel blow previously.

"We're massively confident - we had three on the spin and I think it's the way we came back from the disappointment at Gillingham," he stated.

"That was really important, it would have been easy to let the heads slip and get down on it, but I think we came back really positive.

"We've looked pretty solid in recent weeks, there's obviously the late goal at Gillingham, where we know we've got to do better in that respect."
