THREE POINTS WOULD BE MASSIVE

9 October 2015

Iron loanee Joe Lolley says it was good to back to winning ways last Saturday against Fleetwood, after a frustrating few games previously.

Lolley felt it was vital United got back on track and was relieved to come away with three points, after a tight affair at Glanford Park.

"It was good, it was much needed after two frustrating results since I've been here. To get the three points and get us back on track was important," he told The Iron PlayerHD.

"It was a relief, because it was a frustrating game, with the way that they sat back."

From a personal perspective, the man on loan from Huddersfield is pleased to be back to playing regular first team football once more.

Lolley says, despite finding three games in seven days tough, it's exactly what he joined the Iron for.

"It's been tough, but it's been good. I've come here to play games and get myself the fitness levels, enjoy football and play football," he said.

"So I'm happy on that level that I have been able to do it, but it was tough especially on Saturday to get myself going."

Looking ahead to this weekend's game at Oldham, the midfielder is confident United can get back-to-back wins. This is despite the tough test they'll undoubtedly face against the Latics.

Lolley stated the importance of getting another victory, as then the team could start looking forward, rather than back.

"It'll be a tough game, because they've got David Dunn in charge, I think they'll try and play football," he stated.

"If we can be patient and keep the ball, like we did on Saturday and have a bit more intent going forward, I don't see why we can't get a result."

"Even though we're near the bottom, it only takes a few wins and suddenly things start looking up.

"So to get another win, we could then start looking forward, rather than thinking what's behind us. I think It'll be massive if we can come away with three points."
