CONNOR ENJOYS FIRST GLANFORD PARK VISIT

19 October 2015

The Iron have gained two new supporters after Saturday, with Connor Cooper enjoying his first-ever visit to Glanford Park.

He brought along best friend Maddison, with both enjoying a tour of the stadium ahead of the game, including a visit into the dressing room before making use of the facilities.

To top it all off, they got to enjoy United beating Shrewsbury Town 2-1. Connor was particularly delighted that Paddy Madden scored the winner and was pleased to see him score in his first game.

Connor, aged five, took a look at the pitch from different angles, including from Chairman Peter Swann’s seat, the Legends Lounge and even from the dugout.

His dad, Will, said: “Connor was thrilled with his day and can’t wait to come back again. Everyone was fantastic with him and made him feel so special. This is a credit to the club and they have definitely gained two new fans.

“We all felt very welcome and enjoyed the day. He was even more happy seeing Paddy score!”
