Jeremy Simpson will be the referee for the Iron's clash with Peterborough on Saturday at Glanford Park.
Simpson last took charge of a match involving United in January of this year, when Mark Robins' men went down 2-0 to Bristol City.Throughout that last campaign the Lancashire official showed 119 yellow cards, and sent off nine players.
So far, in his 15 games this season, Simpson has shown 54 yellow and two red cards.
He will be assisted on Saturday by linesmen Ryan Johnson and James Bell. Ian Smedley will take up the role of fourth official.
