HOPPER SET TO MISS FOUR-TO-FIVE MONTHS

5 November 2015

United manager Mark Robins has confirmed striker Tom Hopper has undergone surgery to repair the dislocated shoulder sustained at the weekend.

As a result of the operation and subsequent rehabilitation, the 21-year-old will be out of action for four-to-five months.

Hopper netted the first goal since his return to the club on a permanent basis in the sixth minute of the side’s 2-0 victory over Barnsley. However, he was forced off in the second half after picking up the injury.

“Tom had surgery to correct the damage on his shoulder on Wednesday,” explained Robins.

“He’d been playing really well over the last month and the goal at the weekend gave him a real boost. I’m sure he’d have gone on and scored even more.

“We wish Tom a speedy recovery.”
