Firstly a big congratulations to Mark on receiving his award as Manager of the month for October, which was fully deserved.
I believe the commitment and effort shown by Mark, his staff and the players has been outstanding. It's just a shame that Paddy or Gary did not receive a nomination for player of the month, but that is not taking away any other player's performance in the team as everyone contributed greatly.We are all looking forward to the FA Cup match versus Southend tomorrow and of course I am really pleased that we can dedicate the day to Scunthorpe steel workers and their families. Scunthorpe fans have truly become the 12th man. I thank them for supporting the team and I know that they will get behind our SOS day tomorrow.
We will miss several of our loan players but I have total confidence in the squad and this is a great opportunity for those players who haven't been selected recently to now step up to the plate and show their worth. We would also like to wish Tom Hopper a speedy recovery as he will be missed.
