'THE 12TH MAN REINFORCES OUR COMMITMENT TO THE CLUB'

11 May 2015

As Scunthorpe United's new 12th Man initiative was introduced to supporters, we caught up with one fan who believes that it's an exciting time for the club.

Hazel Jackson has just completed her sixth season as a season ticket holder at Glanford Park, and she's delighted with the new supporter package.

"It's nothing like I've seen before. The additional package for the adults reinforces our commitment to the club," she said.

"I've been a supporter of Scunthorpe United since I was a teenager and I'm looking onwards and upwards with the club.

"I saw about the 12th Man initiative on the Iron's Facebook page and it's fantastic."

The club will no longer have season ticket holders but members of the initiative will still be able to reserve their seat for every league match.

Added to this, people who sign up will receive priority tickets for away cup matches, £1 off away coach travel and a full refund if the coach travels and the game is cancelled.

Supporters will also be able to choose their seat in the new stadium, which is something that Hazel likes.

"It's quite superb that I get to choose my new seat for the new stadium as it's a really exciting time but it's a shame to leave Glanford Park," she said.

"The new stadium is fantastic for the team, the club and for the town."

People who sign up will also receive a free copy of the Iron matchday magazine every home match and be able to follow the exclusive 12th man Twitter account.

They'll also be entitled to a pre-match briefing from manager Mark Robins to give members of the 12th Man an exclusive insight.

With the new stadium on the horizon added to this new exciting supporter package, Hazel is impressed with the club's overall ambition.

"This shows the club are ambitious. A lot of players have left but hopefully Mark Robins will bring some new faces in so we can move up the table," she said.

"I'm sure we can finish in the top four this year, maybe even finish top of the league!"
