Scunthorpe United supporter Martin Drinkwater has joined the 12th Man and feels it’s a great idea for the supporters to become closer to the club.

The 12th Man is an unprecedented enrolment spree leading into the 2015/2016 season and gives Iron fans many benefits, as well as the usual reserved seating for all league matches and first refusal for your seat for home cup matches along with priority tickets for away cup matches. He will also receive free entry to all our home reserve matches.

Martin has already bought his 12th Man package and said he was impressed with the aim of bringing the supporters into the thick of what is going on inside the club.

He said: “I’m nearly 63 so I’ve been a supporter for a long time and I love the club. I’ve come in today really for the 12th <an and I thought I’d buy it early this year.

“I really like the idea of the club and supporters coming together. I had felt like I’d been on the outside of it even though I’ve been supporting them all my life.

"So the bit I like about the package is being able to get more involved with the club. It was great on Sunday when Mark Robins was cheering the fans before the game and that’s what they’ve got to do.

“I’m hoping for a mid-table finish next season but I’m really looking forward to when we move into the new stadium because I think it’ll be great for the club.”

Martin will now receive the rewards that come with the 12th Man package. He will have the chance to feature in a specially taken team photograph, taken with the players, directors and coaching staff, in July as they prepare for the season.

He will have priority in picking his seat at Scunthorpe United’s new stadium and he will also be given exclusive access to a private Twitter account, @SUFC_12thMan, which will publish exclusive content from the club.

The 12th Man is available for Scunthorpe supporters and there are three ways to purchase the 12th Man package. You can come to the ticket office at Glanford Park and purchase it in person, or you can order online via or you can call 0871 221 1899.
