The thoughts of everyone at Scunthorpe United Football Club go out to those 56 fans who died in the stadium fire at Bradford City 30 years ago.

The fire engulfed a wooden stand during a game between Bradford City and Lincoln City.

It occurred during a league match in front of a record number of spectators, killing 56 and injuring at least 265. The disaster led to new safety standards in UK football grounds, including the banning of new wooden grandstands.

Bradford City continues to support the Burns Unit at Bradford Royal Infirmary as its official charity.
