IRON SIGN LUNDSTRAM ON LOAN

19 March 2015

United have signed Everton midfielder John Lundstram on a one-month loan.

He arrives in time to be in contention for Saturday's trip to take on Rochdale, and will be here until April 18.

Born in Liverpool, the 21-year-old has been with Everton from a very early age and signed a full-time scholarship in July 2010.

A strong tackler with excellent passing ability, the youngster has been capped by England Under-17s, Under-19s and Under-20s.

In February 2013, Lundstram was sent on loan to Doncaster Rovers where he helped the Yorkshire side win the League One title in a dramatic fashion away at Brentford in the final game of the season.

He joined Yeovil on loan late in 2013 in a deal which was subsequently extended until the end of the 2013/14 campaign.

But that didn't last and he instead joined Leyton Orient, missing out on promotion to the Championship after a penalty shootout in the play-off final.

He subsequently joined Championship side Blackpool on loan in August 2014, making 17 appearances for the Seasiders before being recalled at the start of 2015.

Lundstram returned to Leyton Orient in January 2015, making four outings during his one-month stay.

He takes the number 18 shirt for his spell at Glanford Park.
