The Iron's youth team were beaten 3-2 by their Hartlepool counterparts on Friday.
Scunthorpe were 2-0 up at half time in the game at Winterton and dominating the game.Jack Dyche opened the scoring after only seven minutes with a well taken effort drilled in to the corner of the visitors goal.
U16 player George Barmby went close with a header on 35 minutes before Dyche notched his second goal of the game as he put the Iron two up on 36 minutes as the hosts dominated the first half.
However, it turned out to be the proverbial game of two halves as the visitors raised their game dramatically after half time to score three and steal the win.
Pool nicked a goal back on 54 minutes directly from a free kick that had Iron keeper Ben Ledger deceived by the deflection off the wall.
Ten minutes later, the visitors drew level and on 73 minutes Hartlepool won the points with a long shot that sailed into Ledger's goal to turn the game round after the home team had looked so comfortable.
