The Iron's youth team defeated their Grimsby Town counterparts 2-0 on Saturday morning.
Scunthorpe took the lead after three minutes of the game played at Gunness, when Sonny Shilling's corner driven goalwards by George Barmby, and Noel Burdett was on hand to steer the ball home from close range.United made it two on 39 minutes when Barmby's header flew into the goal as he connected well at the far post with Lewis Butroid's corner.
Iron youth development officer Tony Daws said: "The boys can be pleased with their performance."
