Iron manager Mark Robins has been nominated for the Sky Bet League One manager of the month award for December.

The nomination comes after United picked up seven points from three games and reached the third round of the FA Cup.

The winner will be announced at 6am on Friday morning.

Here is what Sky Bet had to say about the nominees:

Mark Cooper (Swindon Town)

Swindon’s flamboyant style of play and passing game under Cooper earned more acclaim with stylish three-goal victories at Notts County and Walsall accounting for six of their nine points in the month.

Phil Parkinson (Bradford City)
Stuck to his principles during a difficult autumn, convinced that the results would come. They did in December with a 10-point haul from four unbeaten games and just one goal conceded as Bradford climbed into the Play-Off places.

Mark Robins (Scunthorpe United)
Scunthorpe’s resurgence under Robins continued with seven points gained from three matches. They showed their resilience by scoring the final goal in every game to clinch a result.

Karl Robinson (MK Dons)
Another stellar series of performances by his side. They combined the grit needed to earn four points from trips to promotion rivals Sheffield United and Preston North End with the attacking flair that produced a club record 7-0 win over Oldham Athletic.
