PAIR MAKE DISABILITY FOOTBALL VISIT

14 February 2015

The SUFC Trust are into the second year of the Disability Football Development Fund project working in partnership with the Lincolnshire FA.

This is a county-wide project aimed at increasing participation in disability football across Lincolnshire.

This year we are delivering various sessions across North Lincolnshire, in schools, colleges and working with day care providers.

Last week Neal Bishop and Miguel Llera came along to join in with one of the sessions that Foresight Day care service attend.

The participants were really pleased that two players from the Iron had come to see them and join in.

In particular the participants were overjoyed to see Miguel and broke out with a chorus of ‘Ariba’ as soon as he walked.

The DFDF project aims to deliver football sessions to a minimum of 85 participants over five different projects each running for up to 20 weeks.

Neal Bishop commented that attending the session and seeing how happy it made the participants was really worthwhile and made him appreciate just how lucky he was to be a professional footballer.
