United have signed Hull City left-back Conor Townsend on a one-month loan.

The 21-year-old signs on a deal which expires on March 25.

Highly regarded at the KC Stadium, Townsend came through the youth ranks at Hull City and was promoted to the club's first team during the 2011–12 season.

His first loan spell came at Grimsby Town in the 2011/12 season, where he made 27 appearances and scored once. He then featured 20 times for Chesterfield the following campaign, again scoring once.

Two seperate loan spells at Carlisle United followed before he spent the first half of this season at Dundee United, making 17 appearances.

He's made on appearance for his parent club, on 27 August 2013, coming on as 55th minute substitute in a League Cup game against Leyton Orient.
