Heading the list of injuries from the weekend – quite literally – was Kevin van Veen, but Ned Kelly is sure he will be fine for the weekend.
The Dutchman was substituted midway through the second half of his 12th start for the club after receiving a heavy blow in the first half and was clearly still feeling the effects after another challenge in the closing 45 minutes. However, after resuming training on Monday, he should be available for contention when the team travel to Colchester.
“He’s got a lovely scar across the top of his eye,” he told The Iron PlayerHD.
“He’s now classed as a real centre forward as he’s got a cut, but he’s fine now. Sean (McAllister) had a little problem with his ankle and Jordan (Clarke) was feeling a little bit light headed.
“I’m sure they’ll all be fine for the weekend. Jamie Ness isn’t yet back in training.”
