UPBEAT AHEAD OF COLCHESTER TRIP

27 August 2015

It may only be four months since Scunthorpe journeyed to Colchester, but assistant manager Ned Kelly believes that the team has evolved and progressed from just a short time ago.

“We’ve come a long way really,” he told The Iron PlayerHD.

“That’s just in personnel, first and foremost. Since then, there’s been a lot of outgoings and incomings and Colchester themselves have had a bit of a turnaround as well.

“They’ll be difficult to beat on their home soil, as we found when we went there last season.

“Everybody who came to Glanford Park on Saturday (against Millwall) appreciated the effort and misfortune we had at times to not to have won the three points. There were lots of positives to come from it and our attacking play at times was really exciting.

“I think when you get clapped off in a 0-0 draw at home you know you’ve done certain things very well.”
